70-year-old missing elderly woman safely reunited with her family

LAHORE: Virtual Center for Child Safety of Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to public welfare by successfully reuniting a 70-year-old missing elderly woman with her daughter, According to the details, a citizen reported the presence of an elderly woman wandering alone in a disoriented state near Bhutta Chowk by calling the 15 Emergency Helpline. Upon receiving the alert, PSCA’s dedicated “Mera Pyara” team swiftly responded and, with the assistance of local police, safely transferred the woman to Edhi Center for temporary care. To help identify the woman and locate her family, banners and images were circulated across social media platforms. During routine monitoring, a social media post was identified which matched the description and age of the missing woman. After careful verification of photos and information, the Mera Pyara team successfully established contact with the woman’s daughter. Following confirmation of identity, the woman was handed over to her daughter in the presence of police officials. The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, the Mera Pyara team, and the police for their timely and effective support.
According to PSCA, the Virtual Center for Child Safety operates 24/7 not only for the recovery of missing children but for all missing persons. Citizens are urged to immediately report any missing or found individuals by calling 15 and pressing 3 to connect directly with the Virtual Center.
