LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani has said that the teachings of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar (RA) are still a source of humanity, patience, tolerance and mutual brotherhood.

Muharram-ul-Haram teaches us a lesson of patience, sacrifice and unity, by following which it is the responsibility of all of us to promote tolerance and peace in the society.
He expressed these views under the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif during his visit to Pakpattan to review the arrangements for the 783rd annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Farid (RA) and Muharram-ul-Haram.
He was accompanied by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab Salma Butt, Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail, Regional Police Officer Mehboob Rashid, Deputy Commissioner Maria Tariq, DPO Javed Iqbal Chadhar, MNA Mian Ahmed Raza Maneka, MPA Chaudhry Javed Ahmed, MPA Mian Farooq Maneka, MPA Sardar Mansab Ali Dogar, MPA Motia Masood and officers of the concerned departments.
The Provincial Minister and Special Assistant inspected the footpaths of the pilgrims passing through the Beheshti Gate, the temporary hospital set up at the dargah, the facility centers, the CCTV monitoring room, the medical campus, the ablution facilities and the new toilet blocks. He visited the shrine, offered Fateha and also prayed for the prosperity and security of the country and the nation.
Earlier,a high-level meeting was held at the Circuit House, Pakpattan ,which was chaired by Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani. Deputy Commissioner Pakpattan Maria Tariq gave a detailed briefing on administrative matters and stated that complete arrangements for accommodation, cleanliness, lighting, medical facilities, security and guidance for the pilgrims and mourners have been completed.She expressed that all departments are providing services in a coordinated manner.
District Police Officer Javed Iqbal Chadhar, while giving a briefing on security arrangements, said that a coordinated security plan has been prepared for both the events.
Monitoring of the routes of processions and gatherings, deployment of police, monitoring of cameras, search operations and control room supervision are active.
On this occasion, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab Salma Butt highlighted that the Chief Minister of Punjab has given clear instructions that all pilgrims and citizens should be provided with a safe, dignified and comfortable environment. It is our common responsibility to highlight the teachings of Baba Farid all over the world, and such spiritual occasions deserve government patronage.
Later, the provincial minister, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Maria Tariq and DPO Javed Iqbal Chadhar, visited Tehsil Arifwala, where he inspected the routes of the main procession of Muharram-ul-Haram and the Imambargah Darbar-e-Ahl-e-Bayt. On this occasion, he met the organizers of the processions and gatherings & discussed the available facilities and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the district administration and police.
