LAHORE: The tradition of honoring police martyrs continues, as Lahore Police paid tribute to Constable Shabbir Ahmed on the occasion of his 17th death anniversary.

A smartly turned-out police contingent visited the martyr’s grave, where they offered prayers and laid a floral wreath. The grave was saluted as a mark of respect for the fallen hero, who laid down his life in the line of duty.

Constable Shabbir Ahmed embraced martyrdom on July 1, 2008, during an operation against wanted criminals.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana, in a message issued today, praised the sacrifices of police martyrs. He stated, “Those who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty are the pride of the police department.”
The CCPO emphasized that the sacrifices of police martyrs will never be forgotten and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to supporting the families of the fallen. “The welfare of the martyrs’ families has always been a top priority, and all available resources are being used to ensure their well-being,” he added.
