At NATO summit in The Hague, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will engage in discussions with Tehran next week after a recently brokered ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
“We’ll meet with them next week. We might sign something, but I don’t think it’s necessary,” Trump stated, suggesting he may push for guarantees that Iran halts its nuclear ambitions. He expressed skepticism about Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons, saying, “They’re done with that.”

Commenting on the 12-day Israel-Iran conflict, Trump declared it concluded, noting, “Both sides are exhausted and ready to move on.” However, he cautioned that renewed tensions remain.
Addressing Iran’s missile attack on a US base in Qatar, Trump revealed all 14 missiles were intercepted, adding that Iran provided advance warning, allowing evacuation of the base except for essential personnel.
Trump also praised Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir, calling him “remarkable” after a recent meeting, and claimed credit for averting a war between nuclear powers Pakistan and India, urging both to prioritize trade.
Additionally, Trump disclosed plans to discuss ending the Ukraine-Russia conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon. After meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he indicated the US might supply additional Patriot missile batteries to Kyiv, despite their scarcity, saying, “We’ll see if we can make some available.”
