LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a performance review meeting of Civil Lines and City Divisions with a special focus on security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

Meanwhile, The CCPO directed police officers to formulate a coordinated security strategy in collaboration with mourners, license holders and peace committees. He emphasized the importance of full compliance with government-issued SOPs during Muharram-ul-Haram.
CCPO Lahore emphasized the importance of close coordination with the Crime Control Department. He instructed officers to win the confidence of market associations and traders to deploy security guards and watchmen for preventing incidents of burglary and theft.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana also ordered effective measures to curb the use and trade of heroin and crystal meth (ice) and directed the SSP (Operations) to launch special operations against gambling.
To apprehend wanted criminals, he stressed the formation of dedicated, professional police teams. He also urged officers to utilize their professional capabilities to contribute to a safe and secure society.
Further, the Investigation Wing was directed to ensure timely submission of challans in courts for cases under investigation. The CCPO also called for the identification and dismantling of active criminal gangs.
Emphasizing road safety, he directed strict action against one-wheeling and appealed to parents to keep their children away from this dangerous activity.
