LAHORE: A significant meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora, attended by 15 selected youth (both male and female) from religious minority communities. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a groundbreaking initiative aimed at preparing minority students for competitive national examinations such as the CSS (Central Superior Services).

In his address, Mr. Arora stated that I am feeling proud to say that for the first time in Punjab’s history, youth from religious minority backgrounds will receive formal training for CSS — one of the country’s highest civil service examinations. These students will undergo a three-month training program at the Civil Services Academy, with all expenses fully covered by the Department of Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Punjab. This initiative will enable them to serve the nation shoulder to shoulder with their Muslim brothers and sisters.
He called the program a practical reflection of the Punjab Government’s minority-friendly and education-driven vision, emphasizing that it will build confidence among minority youth and pave the way for their entry into top government positions.
The minister expressed special thanks to Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, for approving the names of these 15 candidates and recognizing the importance of this initiative at the federal level.
He also paid tribute to Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, for her visionary contributions in the field of education, stating that Maryam Nawaz fully understands the value of education. Under her leadership, Punjab is witnessing rapid progress in educational reforms, scholarship programs, and special initiatives for minority students. This CSS training program is a continuation of those efforts.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Arora encouraged the youth, calling this just the beginning of many such opportunities to come. The selected students also expressed their deep gratitude to the provincial minister, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, for providing them with this unique opportunity. They pledged to work hard, pass the CSS examination, and actively contribute to the development and progress of Pakistan.
