LAHORE: Lahore Police continues its rigorous crackdown on electricity theft, arresting 210 suspects and registering 398 cases since June 1.

This was stated in a press release issued by the Lahore Police spokesman today. The spokesman further stated that so far this year, 15,011 individuals have been arrested and 11,867 cases have been registered in connection with electricity theft.
Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana said that those who damage national resources through electricity theft do not deserve any leniency. He emphasized that the crackdown on power thieves is being carried out without discrimination.
The CCPO added that Lahore Police is extending full cooperation to relevant departments to curb electricity theft. He directed the police to ensure immediate arrests of those involved and to bring the cases to a logical conclusion through effective follow-up.
He further instructed that all challans related to electricity theft should be completed promptly with the support of prosecutors and submitted to the courts without delay to ensure swift legal proceedings.
