NANKANA SAHIB – Head of Cultural and Communication at the German Embassy, Jan Crausser, visited the Baba Guru Nanak Hockey Academy in Nankana Sahib, where he interacted with young aspiring hockey players. He appreciated the talent of underprivileged children and encouraged them to work hard and strive for excellence in the spsport.

During his visit, Jan Crausser also met with officials from the Pakistan Hockey Federation and the Baba Guru Nanak Hockey Academy. He lauded their efforts to promote hockey at the grassroots level and assured them of Germany’s full cooperation and support in this cause.
Later, Crausser visited Gurdwara Janam Asthan, the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak, and distributed hockey kits among Sikh community players.
Speaking to the media, Jan Crausser said, “Pakistan is a peaceful and safe country for all sports. All international teams, including hockey, should visit and play in Pakistan. Sports should be kept separate from politics.”
His visit was seen as a positive gesture towards fostering cultural and sports diplomacy between Germany and Pakistan.
