LAHORE: According to sources, a tax-free budget will be presented and the size of the development budget will be Rs1200 billion. The tax net will increase but no new tax will be imposed on the public

In budget for 2750 development schemes across the province, Rs1076 billion will come from local and Rs124 billion will come from foreign funding, which will reach Rs1200.
It is proposed to keep Rs1 billion for converting tehsil hospitals to solar and Rs750 million for higher secondary schools.
Around 4 billion and 34 million will be kept for Punjab Clean Water Authority. Rs 750 million is proposed to be kept annually for increasing the production of mango, while Rs 5.5 billion is proposed for Punjab Green Tractor Program Phase II.
Around 89 billion can be kept for the Punjab Chief Minister’s Easy Business Scheme and Rs200 million will be kept for converting the Governor House to solar. It is proposed to keep Rs9 billion for the Schools Program.
The government has made a block allocation of Rs207 billion will be kept in mind so that the projects can be completed.
