LAHORE: On the directions of Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, high-alert security arrangements were ensured across the city during Eid-ul-Adha. In various operations against the violations, the Lahore Police arrested 238 individuals and registered 196 cases.

According to the spokesman Lahore Police, 19 violators involved in one-wheeling were arrested and 18 FIRs were registered in different police stations of the city. Two other suspects involved in aerial firing were arrested and two separate cases were registered against them. Additionally, five individuals were also apprehended for kite flying with four cases filed, the spokesman said.
During the eid days, 39 individuals were arrested for displaying weapons in public. Three suspects were booked under the Loudspeaker Act for its violation, the spokesman added. He further stated that a total of 55 individuals were arrested for illegally collecting animal hides, leading to 53 FIRs in different police stations. Moreover, he reported that 79 other individuals were also taken into custody for illegally roasting animal heads and trotters and 70 FIRs were registered.
Similarly, 36 individuals were arrested for swimming in canals, in violation of govt orders, with seven cases filed against them, he said.
Meanwhile, CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that the Police provided best security to the citizens throughout the Eid-ul-Adha. He mentioned that supervisory officers remained in the field to oversee security arrangements. Additional police staff was deployed in parks to maintain public order. The CCPO emphasized that effective patrolling, monitoring and foolproof security measures were implemented. He reiterated that Lahore Police remains fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of the citizens.
