LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a meeting at his office to finalize the security arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha. The meeting also included preliminary discussions on a comprehensive security plan for the upcoming month ofMuharram.

The CCPO directed that foolproof security be ensured for Eid prayers, especially at mosques, imambargahs and open prayer grounds.
He emphasized the need for special attention to the well-being of policemen performing duties in extreme heat. He instructed that on duty staff be provided with cold drinking water and sherbat to help them cope with the scorching temperatures.
Highlighting the importance of traffic management, the CCPO called for a focused plan around cattle markets, important traffic arteries and major Eid prayer venues. He stressed strict enforcement of government directives related to Eid-ul-Azha and ordered effective measures to prevent the theft of sacrificial animals.
To ensure public safety during the festive period, additional police staff will be deployed at recreational spots, he said. The CCPO also directed that individuals with known feuds be made to sign surety bonds to prevent any potential clashes during Eid.
Reiterating a zero-tolerance policy, CCPO ordered crackdown on one-wheeling and aerial firing. He directed action against repeat offenders involved in dangerous stunts. Lawbreakers will be dealt with strict legal action, he stated.
Chief Traffic Officer Athar Waheed, DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (Operations) Tassawar Iqbal, SP (Dolphin) Arsalan Zahid, SP (Headquarters) Munazza Karamat and all Divisional SPs attended the meeting.
