LAHORE: The late HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May his soul rest in peace) was known worldwide for his contributions to humanitarian causes underscored by his sagacious leadership and futuristic vision. H.H. was a great friend of Pakistan and enthusiastically promoted socio-economic well-being of its people through hugely funded donations and life impacting projects.

The legacy of the H.H. has been resolutely carried forward by his able successors, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and the late H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, (May his soul rest in peace).
The main projects comprise; improvement of infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, housing schemes for the needy and construction/up-gradation of airstrips to facilitate transportation in far flung areas. Airports at Rahim Yar Khan, Chandna, Bhagla, Rojhan and Washuk are modern international standard facilities capable of handling all kinds of cargo/passenger flights.
The Houbara Foundation International Pakistan has actively facilitated construction of infrastructure projects which include; 19 roads and bridges including one on River Indus, 6 airports in the habitat, 26 housing colonies, sports stadiums, parks, schools/colleges, hospitals and drinking/water supply schemes to name a few.
H.H. Sheikh Mohamed’s, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi invaluable magnanimity has a deep imprint on our diverse landscape particularly in remote and inaccessible areas.
