LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan visited the shrine of Allama Muhammad Iqbal to mark Youm-e-Tashakur.

During his visit, he offered Fateha and laid flowers at the revered poet’s shrine. Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, the khatib of Badshahi Mosque, was also present. Special prayers were offered for the country’s security and stability.
Punjab Governor expresses pride in Pakistan Army’s valiant efforts
On the occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan stated that the nation is celebrating Day of Gratitude to commemorate Pakistan’s glorious victory. He attributed the triumph to divine blessings, saying that Allah Almighty bestowed upon Pakistan a great victory against a more powerful and arrogant enemy. The Governor praised the professionalism and bravery of the Pakistani armed forces, which he said had made the entire nation proud. He extended his heartfelt tribute to the armed forces, particularly the Army Chief, Air Chief, and Navy Chief, for their decisive role in defeating India. The Governor said that the victory has enhanced Pakistan’s prestige and dignity, and its passport now commands greater respect globally.
He said that the victory of Pakistan against India has immensely increased the honour and dignity of country and green passport in the world. The Governor of Punjab said that we never want war, we are peaceful people, but this should not be considered as our weakness.
