IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Took Notice, Sought Report from RPO

LAHORE: Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the incident of firing due to old enmity resulting in the death of 5 persons in Urtali Virkan, area of Police Station Tatlay Aali, Gujranwala, and sought a report from RPO Gujranwala.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar issued directives to CPO Gujranwala for the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the firing. Following the orders, CPO Gujranwala formed special teams to arrest the accused.
The police team, under the supervision of SHO Tatlay Aali, pursued the accused, upon which the accused opened fire as soon as they saw the police party. In retaliatory action, the main accused Imran alias Shero was killed, and Imran’s gunman was taken into police custody in injured condition, while SHO Tatlay Aali was seriously injured.
