LAHORE – : The Lahore Police Investigation Wing swiftly solved a high-profile murder case in Raiwind, arresting three suspects within 24 hours after they allegedly shot and killed a security guard during a robbery.

DIG Investigation Lahore Syed Zeeshan Raza had taken immediate notice of the brutal killing and directed swift action. In response, SP Investigation Sadar Division, Moazzam Ali, formed a special police team under the supervision of Incharge Investigation Raiwind Police Station, Sharafat Ali, to apprehend the culprits.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Akbar Ali, Muhammad Atif, and Khayam. Police also recovered the murder weapon—a pistol used in the crime.
According to police, the suspects opened fire during a robbery attempt when the victim, security guard Subah Sadiq, resisted. The incident took place at a private housing society where the deceased was posted at an under-construction plaza.
Following the murder, the suspects fled the scene. However, the police were able to track and arrest them using CCTV footage and human intelligence.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza stated that the suspects will be prosecuted with a strong challan (case report) based on solid evidence, ensuring they receive the punishment they deserve. He also reaffirmed the department’s resolve to deal with criminals with an iron hand.
SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed has announced commendation certificates for the police team involved in the quick resolution of the case.
