LAHORE: In a powerful expression of solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces and the nation during these critical times, President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mian Abuzar Shad, has announced the establishment of a Rs 10 million “War Fund.”

The initiative, announced amidst rising regional tensions, aims to bolster national unity and provide concrete support to Pakistan’s defense institutions. Speaking to media, Mian Abuzar Shad stated, “This War Fund is a humble expression of solidarity with our valiant armed forces and our beloved nation. It reflects the unwavering commitment of the business community to national security and sovereignty.”
He appealed to the entire business community and the general public to generously contribute to the fund, stressing that every rupee will go toward strengthening the hands of the country’s defenders during a sensitive period.
“The business community of Pakistan stands ready to make every sacrifice necessary for the integrity and stability of our motherland,”he emphasized.
Mian Abuzar Shad said the main purpose of the War Fund is to support national institutions during times of crisis, ensuring that Pakistan remains strong both economically and militarily.
He highlighted that the Lahore Chamber has always prioritized national interests, rising above commercial considerations in times of need. “It is not just about trade or economy. It is about standing united as a nation,” he remarked.
This timely move is being viewed as a bold and patriotic gesture from the business sector, reinforcing the message that Pakistan’s business leaders are on the frontlines of national solidarity alongside the armed forces.
The Lahore Chamber plans to begin outreach campaigns soon to mobilize wider contributions to the fund.
