LAHORE: In a significant breakthrough, Lahore Police have arrested the ringleader of a professional female theft gang and recovered over Rs10 million worth of stolen gold, mobile phones, and other valuables. The operation was conducted under the directives of DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, as part of an ongoing crackdown on criminal elements.

The suspect, identified as Safia, was apprehended by the Investigation Wing of Gulshan Iqbal Police with the support of CCTV footage and human intelligence. Her accomplice, Amina, remains at large. According to SP Investigation Iqbal Town, Sidra Khan, the accused used to enter homes under the guise of domestic help and would flee after stealing valuables when the residents were not present.
Following complaints of repeated thefts by women in the area, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed had assigned the case as a top priority. Acting on this, the police recovered 40 tolas of gold jewelry, high-end mobile phones, and other items from the ssuspect.
SP Sidra Khan personally handed over the recovered items to the rightful owners, who expressed gratitude toward the police. Strong evidence-based prosecution will be pursued to ensure strict punishment, the SP stated. Commendation certificates for the police team have been announced by SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed.
