The session was attended by SP Investigation City Farhat Abbas, DSPs of Investigations, investigation officers, and a large number of local residents. Citizens voiced their concerns regarding pending cases, alleged poor investigations, and delays in justice delivery.
During the event, DIG Syed Zeeshan Raza listened to public complaints and issued immediate on-spot directions for their resolution. He took serious notice of substandard investigations and issued show-cause notices to certain officers for negligence. The DIG emphasized that compromise on merit would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He further instructed all investigating officers to ensure the timely and merit-based conclusion of cases, stating that quick resolution of public complaints was essential to maintaining law and order.
DIG Raza reaffirmed that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority of the investigation police. He said the purpose of the open court was to foster direct communication between the public and the police, thereby strengthening trust and cooperation.
He also directed officers to treat citizens with respect and improve their professional performance. “Only through timely and fair justice can peace and security be ensured,” he noted, adding that his office remains open at all times to the public for assistance.
