LAHORE: Lahore College for Women University (LCWU. Varsity is playing an important role in women’s education. It was announced by the provincial minister for higher education Rana Sikandar Hayat. He was addressing the students and faculty as the chief guest during the spring festival at LCWU.

The minister also inaugurated the recently renovated science block for intermediate students where he assured to donate five LEDs as well as latest equipment for the laboratory. Rana Sikandar Hayat said that the meritorious scholarship program and laptop scheme of Punjab Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif have been widely accepted. Our government wants a revolution in the education sector.
The ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Dr. Uzma Qureshi, Dean Faculty Dr. Faleha Kazmi, Registrar Uzma Batool, Director Sports Dr. Sameera Sattar, In-charge Intermediate Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa, Dr. Neelma and other senior teachers and students.
In the Spring Festival, students from different faculties marched past. School children performed aerobics. In addition, musical chairs, chatti race, gymnastics and other events were presented. The Education Minister presented a prize of Rs. 200,000 from his own pocket to the players with excellent performance.
