LAHORE – Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has strongly criticized the silence of Pakistan’s ruling elite and opposition leaders over Israeli aggression in Gaza, accusing them of seeking favor from the United States while innocent children are being martyred.

Addressing a protest rally, Hafiz Naeem said, “Why don’t government and opposition leaders openly condemn America and Israel? The ruling class is lining up for Trump’s blessings, while our children are being slaughtered in Gaza. The rulers remain silent spectators.”
He warned that the Pakistani nation will not forgive this apathy and announced that Jamaat-e-Islami will intensify its campaign against Israeli and American policies. “We will soon call for a nationwide shutter-down strike in support of the Palestinian people,” he declared.
The JI chief called for a complete boycott of Israeli products and demanded the government formally recognize Hamas and allow it to open an office in Pakistan. He also announced a series of Palestine solidarity marches to be held under JI’s banner: in Karachi on April 13, Multan on April 18, and Islamabad on April 20.
“These marches will send a strong message of unity and resistance,” Hafiz Naeem said, urging the public to participate in large numbers.
