LAHORE: Opposition Leader Ahmed Khan Bhachar has released a white paper on the performance of the year and presented a booklet to Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan in the Punjab Assembly.

Ahmed Khan Bhachar says that the government presents a one-year report on its performance, in response to which we have put balanced facts before the public.
“In the booklet, the opposition explained the performance of the year, what public works the government has done. We reviewed the performance of the year and told in the white paper what is actually happening,” he said.
On this, the Speaker said that it is good that a healthy democratic tradition has been established.
It is good to put objections before the government. I encourage this parliamentary practice. We want the matter to go beyond abuse and come on record. The government has the opportunity to remove the objections. Instead of abuse, the Speaker should focus on the importance of books, speeches and debates. The opposition should come towards positive criticism.
