The spokesman reported that over 135,000 houses and more than 55,000 tenants have been thoroughly checked across various areas of Lahore. Additionally, over 440,000 individuals have been verified during these operations. Following verification, 438,000 individuals were cleared, while legal actions were initiated against 2,204 persons found to be engaged in unlawful activities.

As a result of these operations, 491 proclaimed offenders and 364 individuals carrying illegal weapons were apprehended. Moreover, 328 individuals were detained for violating the Tenancy Act. The police also conducted extensive vehicle inspections, checking over 44,000 vehicles and other forms of transportation. More than 235,000 motorcycles were inspected, with action taken against 2,344 motorcycles lacking proper documentation. Additionally, 244 motorcycles were impounded due to registration issues and 113 were seized for non-compliant license plates.

CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized that search and combing operations will continue throughout the city to maintain peace and security. He reassured the public that Lahore Police are fully committed to ensuring law and order during Ramadan, with enhanced security around mosques and prayer sites during daily prayers and Taraweeh.

Furthermore, the CCPO instructed the Dolphin Squad and PRU to maintain active patrolling during Sehri and Iftar times, particularly in sensitive areas. He also directed that thorough checks be carried out on individuals and vehicles at the city’s entry and exit points.

The CCPO also highlighted the expanded use of the CCTV network to enhance security measures. He advised officers to personally monitor the performance of the police force in the field and take appropriate action to curb crime. He concluded by emphasizing that Lahore Police must continue to perform their duties with diligence and professionalism, especially during vehicle inspections. The Lahore Police remain unwavering in their commitment to safeguarding the citizens and preserving peace throughout the city.
