LAHORE: The Punjab Cabinet is likely to expand soon as the Chief Minister has completed the final consultation on the names of new ministers.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will not be part of the cabinet in Punjab like the federation. The increase in the number of ministers will further increase the government’s expenses.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has also consulted Mian Nawaz Sharif regarding the inclusion of new ministers.
According to sources, the expected ministers include Zakia Shahnawaz, Rana Muhammad Iqbal, Manshaullah Butt, Ayub Gadhi, Salman Naeem, Rana Tahir, Iftikhar Hussain, Rana Arshad, Asad Khokar, Malik Asif Bhai, Osama Leghari and Shoaib Siddiqui from IPP. The oath-taking of the cabinet is expected this week.
