LAHORE: Renowned Azerbaijani businessman Mr. Babak, along with Punjab Minister for Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, visited the Chinese textile company Challenge on Multan Road. Mr. Babak expressed keen interest in purchasing Pakistani textile products.

Local partner of Challenge Textile, Qamar Khan Bobi, guided the delegation through the factory and introduced them to the company’s products. Mr. Babak praised the quality of Pakistani textile products, stating that Azerbaijan is interested in importing them due to their international standards. He also emphasized that Pakistan is a safe and peaceful country for investment. He revealed that several significant Azerbaijani business delegations are planning to visit Pakistan in the coming days.
Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain informed the delegation that Challenge Textile currently employes 5,000 workers and is planning to establish a textile cluster, which will generate further employment opportunities for Pakistanis. He assured complete government support for both local and foreign investors, emphasizing that industrial growth is essential for reducing unemployment. He also appreciated the high standards maintained by the Chinese textile company and encouraged them to continue producing world-class products.
