LAHORE: In a major breakthrough, Ichra Police, under the leadership of Incharge Investigation Mehboob A. Mustafa, have dismantled a notorious gang of car wheel thieves, arresting two members while a hunt is underway for the remaining suspects.

According to Mustafa, the gang comprised four real brothers, all under 30 years of age, and residents of Old Anarkali. They had been stealing car wheels, including tyres and rims, for a long time, selling them in other districts and even smuggling them to different parts of the country.

Through an extensive investigation, police tracked the stolen tyres to Gujranwala, leading to the arrest of two gang members. Mustafa stated that the remaining two suspects are being pursued, and their arrest is expected to reveal further shocking disclosures.
The gang’s criminal activities had left Lahore’s residents in distress, but police have assured the public that strict action will continue to curb such offenses. The operation is part of an ongoing crackdown to dismantle organized theft rings and restore citizens’ security.
