LAHORE: Maas Foundation is going to raise a voice against different forms of violence through it new Punjabi theatre production named “JUGNI”. This play will be performed during “Jashan-e-Punjabi” at Alhamra The mall on 8th & 9th Feb 2025. This play will highlight the different forms of violence not only in any society but even b/w the countries. Founder and artistic director Maas Foundation, Aamir Nawaz is the director of the play while Dr. Riaz Baber has written the script. Cast includes Zohaib Haider, Kashif Nazir, Zain Butt, Esha Malik, Hifza Tahir, Jahanzeb Mustafa, Zeeshan Haider, Zaheer Taj & Tanveer Khalid. Aamir Ali is associate director of the play, Khalid Ejaz Mufti is the media coordinator while Imran mani has designed the music of the performance. Director Aamir Nawaz said that this play is set in 1971 at the location of a small village near india-Pak border.

He also said that this play is portraying the dark face of our society as society is accepting violence as something very usual that is more disturbing and dangerous. The inhuman approach by different people normally divide people into such catagories where they are considered as minority and majority. Such classification of race later results in racism in the society which is curse infect. He also said that Maas Foundation is looking forward to present this new production in different other cities of Punjab as well.
