LAHORE: Lahore Police have achieved important successes in its crackdown on criminal gangs involved in heinous crimes in 2024.
As many as 8,350 members of 3,634 gangs have been arrested, with over 3.5 billion rupees in recovery, this year.

This was stated by the spokesman Lahore Police in a statement issued today.
He added that the Lahore Police recovered 93 cars, 8,048 motorcycles, 239 other vehicles, 302 tolas of gold, 7,360 mobile phones and 96 laptops from the arrested suspects.
CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that the crackdown against gangs involved in robberies, thefts and street crimes was ongoing. He emphasized that the recovered cars, motorcycles, gold, mobile phones, laptops and other vehicles were being returned to their owners.
He also mentioned that dangerous criminal groups would be brought to justice. The CCPO reaffirmed the police’s zero-tolerance policy on drugs, illegal weapons, street crimes, and serious offenses. He directed the officers to ensure the arrest of wanted criminals involved in blind murders, robberies and other crimes.
In addition, Kamyana called for an increase in intelligence-based operations against gangs involved in robberies, muggings and fraud. He instructed supervisory officers to personally monitor public safety measures, emphasizing that Lahore Police remains committed to ensuring the protection of the citizens and upholding the rule of law.
