LAHORE: The opposition protested in the Punjab Assembly against the imposition of super tax on agriculture by the Punjab government and the arrest of the opposition members from outside the Adiala Jail last day.

The Chairman of the Standing Committee on the matter of approval of the Agricultural Income Tax Amendment Bill 2024 in the House, Noor Ul Ameen watto presented the report of the committee in the House.
Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan reserved the issue of the Agricultural Income Tax Bill for Thursday.
The Speaker said if there should be no tax, then my heart is also beating with you, we will openly discuss the reservations, if the opposition has any amendments on the bill, then they should present it in the House tomorrow at the time of voting.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman presented seven audit reports in the House during official proceedings.
The audit report of the accounts of Union Ad Ministries, City District Faisalabad for the audit year 2016-17 and the audit reports of the accounts of Union Ad Ministries Two Bah Tek Singh, Leh, Muzaffargarh and Pakpattan for the audit year 2016-17 were presented in the House.
Punjab Millennium Development Goals Program Health Sector District Government Vihari Audit Year 2016-17 Audit report wad presented in the House.
Performance Audit Report on Punjab Millennium Development Goals Program Health Sector District Toba Tek Singh for Audit Year 2016-17 was also presented.
Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Improvement Project Agriculture Sector District Rahim Yar Khan Performance Audit Report for Audit Year 2016-17 was presented in the House
Special Study on Punjab Accelerated Functional Literacy and Non-Formal Back Education Project Education Section Sector Faisalabad District for Audit Year 2016-17 was presented in the House.
An audit report will be submitted for the audit of the accounts of District Education Authorities and District Health Authorities of 17 districts of Punjab South for the year 2023-24.
After completing the agenda, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan adjourned the meeting of Punjab Assembly till 2 pm on Thursday.
