LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has finally extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for the fiscal year 2024 to Oct 14, 2024, after the efforts of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Mian Abuzar Shad.

Shad had written a formal letter to the FBR chairman, urging him to extend the filing deadline to accommodate the business community facing tough times. His proactive approach proved handy in the FBR’s decision of granting the extension, allowing taxpayers more time to file their returns without incurring penalties.
The business community, especially LCCI members, has appreciated the efforts of the LCCI president in advocating for their concerns.
