LAHORE: In Punjab Assembly, after government, the members of the opposition have also been elected as unopposed chairmen of the accounts and standing committees.
This process was completed with the mutual understanding of Govt and PTI.
Election of Chairman of Punjab Assembly Public Accounts Committee including other five standing committees were held.
Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Ahmed Khan was elected chairman of public accounts committee.
MPA Junaid Afzal Sahi was elected chairman of standing committee for industries, commerce and investment.
MPA Muhammad Owais was elected as chairman for Standing Committee for Food while Hafiz Farhat Abbas elected chairman of standing committee environment protection
MPA Hasan Ali is elected chairman of standing committee youth affairs, sports, archeology and tourism while MPA Muhammad Adnan Dogar elected chairman of standing committee on forests, wildlife and fisheries
Secretary General Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Aamir Habib gave notification to Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Ahmed Khan for being elected as chairmen of public accounts committee.[:]
