LAHORE: The Punjab government is likely to present the Budget 2024-25 of more than Rs5,000 billion on June 13.

Rs700 billion rupees are expected to be allocated for development sector.
Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman will present the budget in assembly.
Before the budget is presented in the parliament, it would have to be approved by the provincial cabinet to be held on June 13.
Sources said the Punjab Ministry of Finance is finalizing the budget for the next financial year.
The Punjab government will impose tax on agriculture sector and enhance taxation for real estate sector, the sources added.
The government is expected to purpose a 10% increase in salaries of government employees and pensioners.[:]
