LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that the promotion process across all field formations , wings and cadres of Punjab Police, including the executive wing, is going on speedily.
In the past year and a quarter, 375 ministerial staff employees have been promoted in 18 promotion board meetings. Dr. Usman Anwar said that 2 Assistant Directors have been promoted to Deputy Directors, 2 Private Secretaries were promoted to Assistant Directors Personnel seats, 46 Assistants to Office Superintendents, and 25 Senior Scale Stenographers were promoted to Private Secretaries. Additionally, 31 Stenographers were promoted to Senior Scale Stenographers, 138 Senior Clerks to Assistants, 69 Junior Clerks to Senior Clerks, and 62 Class Four employee were promoted to Junior Clerks.
IG Punjab said that departmental promotions based on merit and seniority are the fundamental rights of all officers and personnel, which are being provided to them without delay in the police department. IG Punjab said these during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office to honour the promoted ministerial staff and officers.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the officers promoted to the ranks of Deputy Director, Assistant Director, and Private Secretary, and awarded them commendation certificates. Among the recently promoted, Ghulam Mohiuddin was promoted as Deputy Director, Mirza Sikandar Abbas as Assistant Director Personnel, and Mian Mehboob, Abdul Hameed, Ghulam Fareed, Muhammad Javed, and Muhammad Fareed were honored for their promotion to Private Secretary. Mirza Javed Iqbal, Muhammad Imran, and Muhammad Shabbir were also awarded certificates for their promotion to Private Secretary. The families and children of the promoted officers attended the ceremony, and IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar extended his congratulations to them as well. Additional IG Punjab, DIG Establishment, AIG Discipline, SP Headquarters Organized Crime Unit, and SP Traffic Headquarters Lahore also attended the ceremony.
