LAHORE: Two police constables were martyred in a police encounter in Rahim Yar Khan.
The encounter took place between the police and the robbers in Rahim Yar Khan’s Shidani area.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took notice and sought report from DPO Bahawalpur.
The policemen, Shafiq Ahmad and Zeshan Khuram, were protecting the citizens and their property, the police sources said adding that the police have launched an investigation and vowed to arrest the culpritis.
One injured police constable was hospitilised, the sources said.
