LAHORE: The Punjab Higher Education Commission has announced full cooperation with the well-known organization Pink Ribbon Pakistan for participating in breast cancer awareness programs and activities.

This announcement was made by Chairman Dr. Shahid Munir while addressing the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between Pink Ribbon Pakistan and 6 women universities of Punjab at the office of Punjab Higher Education Commission in Arfa Karim Tower.
The main purpose of the ceremony is to highlight this. That common women do not know about breast cancer, due to which breast cancer cannot be diagnosed at an early stage.

Vice Chancellor of College for Women University Dr. Shaghafat Naz, Vice Chancellor of Home Economics University Dr. Faleha Kazmi, Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Women University Dr. Anila Kamal, Vice Chancellor of Government College Women University Sialkot Dr. Zareen Fatima Rizvi Registrar of Women Sadiq University Bahawalpur Dr. Fatima Mazhar and Dr. Salma from Government College Women University Madina Town Faisalabad participated.
According to the MoU, women’s universities will support Pink Ribbon for academic studies, research and development projects, case studies and hospital business modeling. Jointly conduct seminars and workshops envisioned to highlight important aspects of breast cancer.
For this purpose, the universities will invite students, faculty and alumni to contribute and raise funds for the completion of the campaign. Designate a focal person to manage activities and communication with all active students in the university. Coordinate with each other regarding future internship opportunities for Pink Ribbon students.
