LAHORE: Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident of killing of 04 people over land dispute in Rajanpur and has sought the report from RPO DG Khan about the incident. IG Punjab directed DPO DG Khan to form a special team to arrest the accused.

Dr. Usman Anwar directed that accused should be arrested as soon as possible after investigating every aspect of the incident. IG Punjab further said that justice should be ensured to the families of the victims on priority.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, search and combing operations of Punjab Police are going on throughout the province including Lahore to suppress the evil elements. Spokesman of Punjab Police said that 05 thousand 400 search and combing operations were carried out in the entire province in the ongoing campaign since February 26. In which 01 lakh 65 thousand people were questioned while 2623 persons were detained. 105 pistols, 10 guns, 08 rifles and a large number of bullets were recovered from the arrested accused. Spokesman of Punjab Police further said that 49 search and combing operations were conducted in all the districts of the province including Lahore in the last day, while1400 persons were questioned, 63 persons were detained. IG Punjab directed that to continue search and combing operations in the vicinity of sensitive places, Kachi Abadis, hotels and inns, bus stands. IGP Punjab said that extremist and evil elements and their facilitators should be brought under the grip of the law. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that organized crime should be eradicated by encircling the people involved in illegal activities.
