LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has boosted the morale of officers and personnel who successfully traced high-profile cases by awarding cash rewards and commendatory certificates.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar organized a special ceremony to honor the officers and personnel who successfully tackled serious crimes such as blind murders, abductions, and dacoities.

During this event, commendatory certificates and cash rewards were presented to the crime-fighting officers and personnel from the Sargodha region, boosting their morale.
Inspector General Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded cash rewards and commendatory certificates to a total of 72 officers and personnel, including 07 teams from Sargodha, 05 from Khushab, 06 from Mianwali, and 04 from Bhakkar districts.
According to details, Inspector Sarfraz Ahmad and his team were awarded commendatory certificates and cash rewards for the arrest of notorious criminal of the black book named Jamat Ali. DSP Javaid Sarwar and his team were awarded commendatory letters and rewards for ensuring the best investigation and punishment for murderers and rapists.
Inspector Farooq Ahmad and his team were awarded rewards for the successful arrest of blind murder suspects through effective use of modern technology. Inspector Aamir Shahzad and his team were awarded commendatory certificates and cash rewards for the arrest of culprits involved in the murder of three people. Other teams receiving rewards for arresting criminals involved in serious crimes and brought them to justice.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that recognizing the outstanding performance of officers and personnel is an excellent practice for boosting morale, and this series of recognition will continue. IG Punjab instructed for the expedited implementation of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Never Again” campaign and the crackdown against the menace of drugs, all resources should be utilized to suppress crime and ensure easy access to justice for citizens.
Additional Inspector General Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, AIG Discipline Asif Amin Awan, SP Babar Javaid, SP Maqsood Hashmi, and other officers were also present.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has initiated prioritized measures for the treatment and rehabilitation of police officers and personnel wounded in the line of duty. In continuation of which, IG Punjab has issued another 26 lakh rupees for the wounded officers and personnel belonging to various districts, including Lahore.
According to details, Sub Inspector Hassan Raza Ahmad from Mandi Bahauddin was granted Rs. 10 lakhs for medical expenses, while injured ASI Shahid Saleem from Gujrat Police received Rs. 5 lakhs for treatment. Similarly, injured SI Muhammad Mumtaz from Multan was allocated Rs. 5 lakhs for medical expenses, and Head Constable Muhammad Nadeem from Lahore Police received Rs. 3 lakhs for treatment. Additionally, Constable Syed Ahsan Ali from Nankana Sahib Police received Rs. 3 lakhs for medical expenses.
All these officers and personnel sustained severe injuries in encounters with dacoits. After scrutiny and approval from the Welfare Branch, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar issued the aforementioned funds. IG Punjab emphasized that the wounded officers and personnel of the police force are valuable assets, and comprehensive measures will be taken for their best treatment and speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has appreciated the services of Mukhtaran Rafiq Foundation for providing medical facilities to police force.
IG Punjab said that Mukhtaran Rafiq Foundation Hospital provided free treatment for the families of the martyred policemen and discounted treatment for the in service officials, which is commendable.
IG Punjab said that the scope of health welfare initiatives will be expanded in light of the MOU with Mukhtaran Rafiq Foundation, medical screening camps will be held in various police offices and field formations, in which modern medical facilities will be provided to the police force along with tests for infectious diseases.
He expressed these views today while meeting a high-level delegation of Mukhtaran Rafiq Foundation at the Central Police Office. A three-member delegation led by President Mukhtar Rafiq Foundation Abdul Majeed met IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar.
During the meeting, there was a discussion on increasing health welfare cooperation between Punjab Police and Mukhtaran Rafiq Foundation.
Abdul Majeed President Mukhtaran Rafiq Foundation said that their organisation will provide more facilities to police employees in tests, examinations and treatment at Mukhtaran Rafiq Hospital.
The delegation led by President Mukhtar Rafiq Foundation Abdul Majeed included Director of Operations Naveed Zafar and Ahmad Sajjad, head of the delegation also gave a souvenir to IG Punjab at the end of meeting. Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIG Welfare Shaista Nadeem and other officers were present in the meeting.
